The month of February is quite interesting in many ways. For the young at heart, it holds the day, which symbolizes love and romance. Valentine’s Day, is a perfect time to surprise your beloved with a romantic trip to an amazing destination where two of you can spend some quality time together. Here are a few romantic destinations in India; which I feel, are worth visiting, with that special person.

Udaipur: This city is often cited as one of the top romantic destination for couples not only from India, but also around the world. Surrounded by the Aravallis, this city is interconnected by several lakes and hence referred by many as ‘the Venice of East’. This city was a romantic spot from yesteryears. Ancient rulers, fascinated by the beauty of this place, built several romantic palaces in and around Udaipur. This is one of the reasons why this place has a royal romantic look to it. One can find many restaurants and tourist activities around the lakes. View of the lake during winter evening can be quite romantic and so can be boating at sunset. Taking some time out during sunset to stroll around the lake would be a good idea for couples. My advice would be to look for a lake facing room if you want to make your visit even more worthwhile. If you love to add more of Lake Factor into your vacation, choose sunset time to stroll near the lake or enjoy water-based activities. You can also choose to stay in hotels that have Lake view rooms.

Nainital: Situated at an altitude of 2084 meters, Nainital is a popular hill station in Uttarakhand. The magic of the sparkling Naini lake, along with mountains in the backdrop, leaves one spellbound. A pony ride to ‘Tip in top’, aerial ride on a ropeway above the lake, and boating in the calm lake waters are some of the things you can enjoy while in this beautiful town. This time of the year is generally an off season here, so you can obtain pretty good discounts here in most of the hotels.

Goa: Goa is a beautiful beach destination with many hotels for honey-mooners. People around the world come here to enjoy the beautiful beaches; it’s happening nightlife and an air of Portuguese tradition and culture. For couple who are a bit of the ‘adventurous’ kind, you indulge in some water adventures like parasailing or dolphin cruise. Nothing seems to be more romantic than a stroll on the beach watching the sun go down while listening to the sweet music of the waves crashing against the shore. And that’s exactly you are going to find here.

Andaman Island: The untouched beauty of Andaman is matched by few and  it captivates your senses right from the moment you land here. With not many tourists heading in this direction yet, it’s quite a mesmerizing experience here, strolling through the calm beaches and its turquoise water.

Manali: Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is an ideal place to be, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and deodar trees. Life should come to a standstill when you are with your loved one, and that is exactly what happens here. The places worth visiting here are the Tibetan Monastery and the natural hot water fountain.
