Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic, and is among the most beautiful cites in Europe. With a 1,100-year-old skyline, this city never fails to amaze travelers.
Be it the famous sights like the Old town square, Prague Castle or a relaxed evening at one of the European style cafe; if you like to explore, you would love to tour these places around Prague. So here are some of the places which I loved exploring while I was in this beautiful city.

Old Town
If this is the first time you are visiting this city, then the Old town is a must-have on your itinerary. With its old-world charm, this old town attracts a huge number of tourists. You will find some of the most frequented places by the travelers, in the Old Town. It is a collection of Historic buildings, narrow lanes, and some great local food as well. Here, nestled amidst the colorful buildings and Gothic architecture are some of the best uptown cafes and restaurants. You can also find some of the best art galleries and designer shops here in the Old town.

Prague Castle

Prague Castle is known to be the most beautiful sightseeing spot in the city. Built in the 9th century, Prague castle is one of the most charming places to visit in Prague. This castle was once the home to the Bohemia kings and was built as a walled fortress. Now it is where the President of the Czech Republic stays. It’s one of the leading examples of the architectural marvel of the bygone era. The castle consists of the Old Royal Palace, three churches and a monastery. and the architecture represents practically all architectural styles of the last millennium including Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque. The lovely architecture makes it one of the topmost attractions in Prague.

Cruise on the Vltava River
A cruise along the Vltava River is one of the best things to do in Prague. The Vltava River is the longest in the Czech Republic. 18 bridges are crossing the river, including the iconic Charles Bridge. The River Boat Cruise in Prague is a perfect way to capture a panoramic view of the city and put your trip over the top. A typical Vltava river cruise passes famous sights like the Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, the Church of St Nicolas, and the National Theatre. This river cruise is appropriate for anyone who wants to enjoy an unforgettable experience in just an hour.

Visit Old Town Square
Old Town Square is the central square of the historic part of Prague. This square is one of the greatest tourist attractions of the Czech capital. Located in the heart of the Old Town, Old Town Square offers a variety of attractions and a lively atmosphere. The famous Astronomical Clock of Prague is also located here and it is lined with a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, and bars. One could easily spend an entire day at the square eating, drinking, and observing people, without a single dull moment.

Visit the Dancing House
Visiting the Dancing House is one of the coolest things to do in Prague because it’s a mix of modern and unusual looks right in the middle of the city. Its very structure gives it an interesting look. Situated in one of the street corners, this structure cannot be missed by anyone in general. This structure was designed by Canadian architect Frank Gehry and Czech architect Valdo Milunic.  It’s a masterpiece in itself and contains both static as well as dynamic elements. It resembles a male and a female dancer swaying together.

The National Museum
Established in the early 1800s, it is one of the oldest museums in the Czech Republic. Anyone from a reader, a scholar, or a traveler would surely find this place very interesting. Currently, it just got renovated and hence looks more majestic than ever. This museum is home to a vast collection from zoology to mineralogy, biology, and anthropology.
